There are Options!

If you live in an area with shared or common spaces where you would like to plant a Gifting Garden, consider sending a letter to your building council or building manager. We drafted a message to give you some ideas. Growing Gratitude was born in a shared garden space!
Would you like to see Growing Gratitude Gifting Gardens in public parks and spaces in your area? Consider getting involved and sending a note to your municipal or city administrators to encourage them to consider joint initiatives. Here you can find a sample letter.
Food Forests
Food forests are large, forest-like gardens.
Large scale community and government collaborative garden projects exist in many places. Red Deer, Alberta is a terrific example of this. They have several community orchards and food forests in public spaces.
If you would like more information about how to get involved in developing large scale community garden initiatives please contact us.
If you would like assistance planning a private or public food forest, I recommend connecting with a professional permaculture designer. Our affiliate, Food Forest Abundance, offers free consultations.
