Deciding what to grow in your Gifting Garden

Plants that produce food that is harvested above ground make it easiest to determine ripeness and harvest.
Underground roots and tubers might be a little more challenging, but still possible, to share in a Gifting Garden.
Consider choosing fast growing and heavily producing plants. Here’s some ideas
Annuals that will happily keep producing after picking, and cut and come again varieties are good choices.
For less work and ease of care, choose perennials that are planted once and provide food annually. For those in the North, we are more limited than others in year-round warm climates, but there are still many options.
To benefit from long term enjoyment and heavy production after they get established, plant berry bushes, or fruit or nut trees suitable for your region.
Use organic methods wherever possible.
